Stephen
Correia, PT, MHS, OCS, MTC — Clinical
Director
Stephen received his Bachelors degree in
Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina in 1991, where he was
an All-American swimmer. He received his Physical Therapy degree from the
Medical University of South Carolina in 1993, as well as a Masters degree in
Health Science in 2002. Stephen dedicated his first 5 years of practice to
the treatment of Sports Medicine and Orthopedic patients where he received
an Orthopedic Certified Specialist certification in 1999. He then focused
on the treatment of spine dysfunctions and received his Manual Therapy
certification from Kaiser Permanente Institute in 2002. He is a guest
lecturer at the MUSC Physical Therapy Department as well as the College of
Charleston Sports Medicine Department.

Mark
Rutledge, MHS, PT, OCS,
MTC
Mark received his BS in biology in 1988 while also becoming and
Honorable Mention All American swimmer at The University of South
Carolina. He received his BS in physical therapy in 1990 and his
master's in health science with a specialty in orthopedics from the
Medical University of South Carolina in 1995. Mark also received his
Orthopedic Specialist Certification in 1999 and his Manual Therapy
Certification in 2002.
Mark has been practicing physical therapy in Charleston for the past 17
years and his specialty areas of practice are sports medicine, spine
rehabilitation, and general orthopedics. He especially enjoys working
with swimmers, runners, and triathletes and is accomplished in managing
their many injuries through biomechanical analysis and many different
conservative interventions. He specializes in foot and problems and
orthotic interventions.
Mark was selected and worked as a physical therapist in athletes
medical care at the swimming venue during the 1996 Olympic Games in
Atlanta. Mark is an adjunct professor in the physical therapy program at
MUSC and is actively involved in lecturing on various orthopedic topics
at local colleges and at a variety of community events. He is presently
serving as a delegate for South Carolina for the American Physical
Therapy Association.
Mr. Rutledge is the founder and race director for the Lowcountry
Splash 2.4 mile open water swim in the Charleston Harbor. In his spare
time he has resumed swimming competitively and in 2006 won the World
Championship in the 50 meter breastroke and set an American national
40-44 year old age group record.

Greg Sills, PTA
Greg is originally from
Dayton, OH where he graduated from Ohio University with B.S. in Sports
Science/Exercise. Physiology degree. After moving to Charleston, Greg
completed his A.S from Trident Technical College in the physical therapy
assistant program. Greg serves on the TTC PTA advisory Committee.
He specializes in shoulders and knees with emphasis on sports specific
injuries.

David Hughes, PTA
Originally from Wales, UK David
graduated from Sir Thomas Jones High School Amlwch in 1995 and received a
soccer scholarship from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where
he studied English and marketing. Following his career at Charlotte David
went on to play 1 season of professional soccer in the USISL with the Myrtle
Beach Sea Dawgs. A graduate of Trident Technical College' PTA program David
began working for RCC in August of 2003 at the West Ashley office; given his
strong athletic background David has worked with many of the 'sports
specific' rehabilitation cases during his time with RCC. |
